Film Making Project Launched

Would you like to make a documentary film about where you live?

Would you like to learn from professional film makers?

This project is open to anyone aged  over 11, older residents and younger residents on school holidays are particularly welcome. 

Ideally it's aimed at residents who live in Hackney. If you are an ISHA resident who doesn't live in those areas and are still interested in getting involved, please contact us!

You will meet and work with a team of fellow ISHA residents and professional film makers to decide ideas and issues to include in the film. You will be doing the filming and learning skills crucial to film making such as camera work, sound recording and interviewing.

The final film will be shown at a local cinema to all ISHA residents and all households involved will recieve a DVD of the film.  Here's an example of some of the work that residents have made with the film makers in the past.

This is a great opportunity to get some fantastic hands-on film making experience and explore questions important to you about where you live.

How do you get involved?

Come along to one of the initial workshops to meet with the film makers and fellow residents. Here's a map of the venue.

Monday 26 July 2010 - Briefing and Training Session 10am - 1pm

At The Rose Lipman Community Centre, 43 De Beavoir Road, N1 5SQ

Filming

Filming will take place Monday 26 July to Thursday 29 July 2010

Sessions will run from 10am—1pm and 2pm to 5pm each day

Everyone should come to the briefing session and then you can stay for the whole week if you have the time, or just come to a few filming sessions. Lunch and  refreshments will be provided during the filming days and transport can be arranged if necessary
