Ways to Get Involved

Nine ways to get involved

Here is how you can help us to shape the services we provide for you.

1. Website Development

You can give feedback in a number of ways, such as you can write to us, email, call us, register your comments by visiting our office or via our ‘new’ website which is being developed and will take ccount of tenants’ views and expectations.

2. Estate Visit/ Walkabout & Inspection

You can get more involved by carrying out regular estate inspections. Estate visits can give us direct views on the services provided such as repairs, maintenance, cleaning, gardening, other social activities and tenancy matters. Feedback can be done through: face to face contact with a housing officer who will record and get you to sign.

3. Newsletter and Annual Report

You can get more involved by helping produce, design, write articles for our Newsletter and Annual Report. It can also inform us about your aspirations and how we can improve housing services.

4. Tenant Focus Groups

One off groups are consulted and set up to focus on a specific issue i.e. Rent arrears, Gas Safety Checks… to seek your opinion and comments before our policies are finalised.

5. Repairs Performance

You can give us both verbal and written feedback on contractor(s)’ performance by: a. Completing job order satisfaction slips which you are asked to fill in by contractors.

b. Filling in repair satisfaction slips which can be either sent to you or completed at our office.

6. Surveys & Questionnaires

Residents are either randomly selected or targeted to offer feedback on key services.

7. Daytrip/ Tenants Away Day

The daytrip is primarily a social event but also an opportunity for feedback on something basic such as what tenants think of our services and how we might improve them.

8. Annual Residents’ Meetings

Can be combined with a cultural event celebration or held separately with invited guests to talk and consult residents on the development of residents’ activities.

9. Tenant Board Member

Residents who would like to take on greater responsibility in shaping and improving our services, can join our board which governs how Lien Viet is run. You will be offered training and support as needed. Anyone interested in becoming a board member is encouraged to get details and meeting dates and come along to observe before making any commitment.
