Apply for Future of London’s Emerging Talent Programme

London Southbank

Applications for this year’s Emerging Talent Programme are now open. But, be quick, as the deadline to submit your application is 12pm on Monday 1 November.

About the programme

The Future of London (FoL) Emerging Talent Programme offers people from ethnic minority communities the chance to start a professional career in housing, regeneration and development.

If you want to improve the buildings and spaces where Londoners live, work and play, the programme offers a great opportunity to transform housing and regeneration in your local community.

There is a wide range of career options available from housing and policy officers to planning consultants and procurement managers.

About the placements

The Emerging Talent Programme is a 21-month paid placement and during this time you’ll complete three different placements with host employers in London (such as housing associations, borough councils and private sector companies).

The placements take place from January 2022 to October 2023 and will give you a unique insight into some of the different roles available in housing and regeneration.

You’ll be supported by a mentor, take part in learning and development sessions and get assistance in finding ongoing employment after you’ve completed the programme.

ISHA is not one of the host employers for the 2022/23 programme.

Who can apply?

The Emerging Talent Programme is open to individuals from ethnic minority communities who are keen to start a career in housing and regeneration in and around London.

The programme supports both people starting their career and also people looking to change their career direction. Relevant work experience or volunteering and/or a Degree level qualification is advantageous but not essential.

You must have a legal right to work in the UK.

Applications

The application process consists of three stages: An application form, an online interview and an online assessment centre.

To start your application, download the application form (.docx, 156kb) and email it to etp@futureoflondon.org.uk by 12pm on Monday 1 November.

More information

You can find more information about the programme on the Future of London website and hear from housing professionals about their own journey.
