Contents insurance

Can you replace everything you own if you had a burglary, fire or water damage? Contents insurance is a way to make sure you are protected if things get damaged or stolen.

While ISHA provides building insurance for our properties, this only covers damage to the structure of the building, such as the roof, walls, floors and some fixtures. It doesn't insure your personal possessions.

Therefore, we've partnered with Royal & Sun Alliance to provide residents with low-cost contents insurance under their "Simple" scheme.

Simple contents insurance

The Royal & Sun Alliance policy provides insurance for everything you own (the contents of your property) – clothes, TV, kitchen appliances, keepsakes, furniture and gadgets. It is easy to understand and not expensive.

You can pay for the policy weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or annually – whatever suits you best. You can also upgrade your cover to protect your home’s contents against accidental damage and protect your belongings, including bicycles, hearing aids, and wheelchair/ mobility scooter(s), whilst away from your home. Your price will depend on your circumstances, postcode and cover chosen.

ISHA does not provide this scheme but has been arranged and designed specifically for housing association residents.
