This page provides information on the different methods for paying rent, including Direct Debit, standing order, online, and telephone. You are responsible for paying your rent on time, and all rent payments must be made in advance. Direct Debit Direct Debit is the most convenient way to pay your rent. Paying your rent by Direct Debit To pay your rent by Direct Debit, you must set up a ‘Direct Debit mandate’ with your bank. If you need help setting up a Direct Debit, call 0300 131 7300 (option 3) or email IncomeTeam@isha.co.uk. Advantages of paying your rent by Direct Debit. By setting up a Direct Debit, you can choose a date or frequency that works for you and cancel it at any time. Direct Debit payments are automatic, so there’s less chance of missing a payment. Direct Debits help you manage your money as you know exactly how much is being taken from your account and when. You’ll always pay the correct amount. If your rent or service increases, we’ll automatically amend your Direct Debit to the new amount. Standing order To pay your rent by standing order, complete the standing order form (88kb, PDF) and take it to your bank. Bank transfer or telephone banking You must instruct your bank if you want to pay online from your bank account or by telephone banking. Our bank details are: Account name: Islington & Shoreditch Housing Association Sort code: 20-45-93 Account number: 20673803 Bank: Barclays Please include your rent account number for the payment reference so we can match the payment to your rent account. Your account number is included in our rent or service charge letters. Online via allpay You can pay your rent online through the allpay website using your allpay swipe card number. allpay swipe card You can pay your rent using your allpay swipe card at the Post Office, Payzone stores and PayPoint locations. allpay payment app To use the allpay app to pay your rent, you’ll need the unique reference number on your allpay swipe card. Telephone payments You can pay your rent over the telephone with a credit or debit card by calling us on 0300 131 7300 (option 3). After we confirm your identity and the amount you want to pay, we’ll send you a text message (SMS) or email with a link where you can enter your payment details. Housing Benefit and Universal Credit payments For most people, Housing Benefit or Universal Credit is paid directly to you, and you are then responsible for paying your rent. In some circumstances, if you receive Housing Benefit or Universal Credit, you can arrange for this to be paid directly to ISHA. Call 0300 131 7300 (option 3) to discuss this with us. In person, at our office You can pay with a credit or debit card in person at our office using the card reader machine at reception (in the same way as you would pay for something in a shop). Our reception is open during normal office hours, 9am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday (excluding public holidays).
