Renting on the open market

Market rent Islington and Shoreditch rent a small number of properties at market rent. This means we own homes that we rent out at the same levels as private landlords. Market rents are not subsidised, and you do not need to be registered with your local authority to rent these properties. Anybody in full-time employment and can afford the rent may apply for one of our market-rented homes. We use the income we get from market rent to support other projects – and tenants who rent in this way benefit from our experience as a long established social housing landlord. Customers renting in this way are given 12 month Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements. After this point, renewals can be completed at 12 month intervals subject to the landlord and tenant agreeing to this. Our market rent properties are advertised by local estate agents. All our available properties will be advertised through Chestertons estate agents based in Upper Street in Islington. Who to contact For more information about our market rent properties, call 0300 131 7300 or email isha@isha.co.uk.
