UK Vietnamese groups and partners

We work closely with all our community partners. On this page you can find out about services and activities that are available in the community. If you want to get in touch with any of the organisations below you can contact them directly or contact our Outreach and Support Officers We are always looking to develop new partnerships. Contact us if you’d like to work with us. UK Vietnamese Networking Group The UK Vietnamese Networking Group was established in November 2014. Membership of the group is open to all organisations and individuals who engage with Vietnamese and Indo-Chinese Communities. The Group currently has seven member organisations, meeting quarterly to: build partnerships and raise awareness of existing services enhance skills and understanding to develop new projects collaborate with funding applications empower Vietnamese and Indo Chinese communities. Other members In addition to ISHA and Lien Viet the current members are: Community of Refugees from Vietnam – East London (CRVEL) CRVEL is a charity that was set up in 1983 by refugees from Vietnam. They deliver a range of services to the community including support for older people, homecare, advice and information and a befriending service. Park Pharmacy The pharmacy was established in 1985 to provide NHS and later taken over in October 2008 by a Vietnamese speaking pharmacist to respond to local and Vietnamese community needs. Park Pharmacy is credited by Royal Society for Public Health as a healthy living pharmacy. 286 Seven Sisters Road Finsbury Park London N4 2AA 020 8800 0786 / 07914 234 498 info@parkpharmacy.co.uk New World Housing Association (NWHA) Formed in 1992, New World Housing Association started out in the 1980s as SEA Co-op managing shortlife properties for newly arrived Vietnamese families. New World now owns over 400 properties including sheltered schemes across five South London boroughs. 8 Grange Mills Weir Road Balham London SW12 0NE 020 8675 0320 info@newha.co.uk Vietnamese Mental Health Services (VMHS) Established in 1989, the Vietnamese Mental Health Service aims to preserve and protect the good mental health of persons from Vietnam. 25 Fair Street London SE1 2XF 020 7234 0601 info@vmhs.org.uk Refuge Refuge is a national organisation providing support to women and children who are being abused. A team of Vietnamese speaking outreach workers at Athena service, run by Refuge, can provide confidential advice and support to Vietnamese people living in Lewisham, Southwark, Hackney and beyond who are experiencing gender-based violence. 0800 112 4052 lewishamvawg@refuge.org.uk aivi_doan@refuge.org.uk Viet School Viet School is a Vietnamese supplementary school from the Vietnamese Family Partnership offering lessons in Vietnamese language and culture, Math, English and a homework club. It provides opportunities for volunteering, learning, building confidence and identity; opportunity and employability; eating healthily together.
