Supported housing

ISHA owns and directly manages three schemes for older adults within its supported housing section. ISHA supporting housing schemes Spring Villa , N5 A block of 12 self-contained one and two-bedroom flats for the over 55's in Islington. When a vacancy occurs it is normally offered to someone waiting on the London Borough of Islington’s sheltered housing waiting list. ISHA provides an enhanced housing management service at Spring Villa focused on ensuring the safety, security and wellbeing of customers plus access to the Council's 24-hour telecare system. Penn Street, N1 A supported living scheme for older people with complex care and support needs, comprising 16 self-contained one-bedroom flats in Hackney. ISHA provides an enhanced housing management service and the 24-hour care service is provided by a LB Hackney team based at the scheme.This accommodation can only be accessed via the London Borough of Hackney’s Adult Social Care Teams. Liz McKeon House, N1 A supported living scheme for older people with mental health issues comprising eight self-contained one-bedroom flats in Hackney. ISHA provides an enhanced housing management service and the 24-hour care service is provided by a LB Hackney team based at he scheme. Referral to this scheme is via Hackney’s Adult Social Care Teams. Accommodation for former rough sleepers ISHA manages 28 self contained single person flats in Islington which are allocated to former rough sleepers referred to us by the Clearing House. Floating support is provided for up to two years by St Mungos Tenancy Sustainment Team (North) before customers are supported to move on to other housing. Accommodation for adults with learning disabilities In 2011 ISHA entered into an agreement with the London Borough of Islington to house 10 adults with learning disabilities on an estate in the Borough. The self contained single person flats are allocated to adults with learning disabilities referred by Islington Learning Disabilities Partnership (ILDP). On site support (including night time cover) is provided by Centre 404. We also have a block of seven flats in one of our Waltham Forest estates that is reserved for adults with a learning disability. Support services are based on individual assessment and commissioned by Waltham Forest Council from a variety of providers.
