Helpful information

Bin collection is provided by Hackney Council.

Details of when your home has its bins emptied can be found on Hackney Council's website Hackney Council's website..

The Neighbourhood Officer and the contractor responsible for our cleaning and gardening services carry out monthly estate inspections.

You are welcome to join any of the monthly inspections on your estate. It’s a great chance to have your say about how your estate is cared for and what matters to you most. Please email neighbourhoods@isha.co.uk if you want to join them, and we can arrange this for you.

And if you'd like a copy of the latest inspection report, email neighbourhoods@isha.co.uk and we'll send you a copy. You can also find the report on the noticeboard in your building.

The cleaning specification for your estate is displayed on the noticeboard, or you can request a copy by contacting us.

In most cases, ISHA or your managing agent will undertake a programme of communal and external cyclical decorations and repairs to your homes. This work is done regularly, generally every five to seven years. The property's condition will be assessed, and necessary work will be carried out.

You will be consulted in advance about any expected work, such as painting, window repairs, and gutter clearance.

Kitchens are replaced every 20 years and bathrooms every 30 years.

If you are a homeowner, leaseholder, or own part of your home through shared ownership with ISHA, we can, where necessary, provide an EWS1 certificate upon request.

To request an EWS1 certificate, call 0300 131 7300 or email BuildingSafety@isha.co.uk.

Your safety is our top priority.

Our Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), whether conducted by us or an agent, meet the requirements of the Fire Safety Act 2021. We constantly review risks through property inspections, maintenance programmes, and defect reporting. In line with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, we conduct an FRA when a property’s use changes or if the current assessment needs updating.

If you have any questions or to obtain the Fire Risk Assessment for where you live, call 0300 131 7300 or email BuildingSafety@isha.co.uk. We’re here to listen and ensure your home's safety.
