About ISHA

Islington and Shoreditch Housing Association (ISHA) is a community and neighbourhood-based housing association managing and developing quality affordable housing for people in North and East London, and building more homes in Hackney, Islington and Waltham Forest.

We are a major provider of truly affordable housing in North London, with more than 2,500 homes.

We also have market rent homes and some commercial properties which play their part in building our local thriving communities.

We are regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) .

Working with others

We work in close co-operation with our local authorities, Homes England, and other local housing associations, including black and minority ethnic (BAME), special needs housing associations and co-operatives. The Greater London Authority provides investment in development.

We’re one of the L12 , a diverse group of community-focused housing associations across London. We're committed to addressing the capital’s housing crisis and supporting our thriving communities.

Building new homes

ISHA leads the North River Alliance (NRA) , which is a consortium of north and east London community-based housing associations who combine to build new homes that on our own might not be possible.

A long history

Islington and Shoreditch Housing Association is smaller and more local than many other London housing associations. Our roots go back to 1933. As we grow our focus remains on our residents.

We incorporate Lien Viet Housing Association and proudly continue to deliver culturally sensitive services to local Vietnamese and South Asian communities.

Urban Style Ltd is a subsidiary.

ISHA is a registered provider of social housing (Registration number L0457).

ISHA is a society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 (Registration number 11614R).
