Christmas can often be a busy time with lots to think about, organise and prepare for. But don't get caught out. You still need to pay your rent in December.
It’s easy to forget, or prioritise festive spending, but the best present you can give yourselves and your family is a safe, secure home.
Remember, your rent or service charge is due in advance. As well as your rent and service charge, you should also prioritise your utility bills, gas, electricity and water.
As the nation’s popular money expert, Martin Lewis, advises on his website: Prioritise your bills before planning Christmas. “Ask yourself: What can I afford to spend?... Christmas is one day – don’t ruin the whole of the next year for it."
