Another two great Neighbourhood Night events

ISHA staff and residents chatting and discussing issues at our Hackney Neighbourhood Night in May 2026.

We’ve had a busy season of Neighbourhood Nights this spring. The first was in Islington in April, two this month, one in Hackney and the third and final one last night in Waltham Forest.

Residents and staff met face-to-face in a relaxed, welcoming space with open conversations.

The busiest of the season

We had a fantastic turnout at our Hackney event, with 32 of you joining us. The event took place at Haggerston Community Centre, close to many of our Hackney homes, meaning some residents were able to walk over.

It was lovely to see families attend too! Children were kept entertained with colouring activities, giving parents the chance to speak with staff and raise any questions or concerns.

Staff from across different teams and Board member, Jonathan Bunt, were on hand throughout the evening. Several residents came to speak with Amelia, our Resident Liaison Officer, about choosing colours for their doors, giving them the chance to get involved in decisions about their homes.

Amelia told us:

"We had a great time at the Neighbourhood Night, speaking with residents about the door programme and helping them choose the right option for their homes. It’s a great way to build strong connections, and I really enjoyed the evening."

What residents told us

Here’s what some residents said about the evening:

"I was able to speak to the people I needed and raise all my concerns. The activities for children and supportive staff were really good."

"It's great when people come together to talk about their concerns and share ideas. Keep it up."
