Help us improve access to our services

Have you ever found it difficult to contact us or access our services?

We want to make sure all residents can access ISHA's services easily and confidently.

We have heard that for some residents, language and communication barriers can make it harder to contact us, report repairs, understand information, or access support. That's why we're looking at how we can make our services more accessible and make sure residents know what support is available.

We're particularly interested in hearing about:

  • difficulties contacting ISHA
  • challenges reporting repairs or accessing services
  • experiences of language or communication barriers
  • your awareness and use of interpretation services
  • ideas for making our communications and services easier to access.

What residents have told us

We recently spoke with a Vietnamese resident who shared their experiences of accessing services and getting involved in the community. While they were positive about ISHA overall, they highlighted that many residents with limited English rely on friends, family members, or community representatives to help them communicate with services.

We also heard how valuable community groups and social activities can be in helping people stay connected, access information, and support one another. Residents suggested there may be opportunities to improve awareness of interpretation services, make communication more accessible, and create more opportunities for residents to connect and share their views.
