Community-based housing association, ISHA, has appointed Pippa Fleetwood-Read as its new Chief Executive.

Pippa is a respected and dynamic housing professional, with 20 years’ experience providing quality homes and places, reducing homelessness, supporting vulnerable people and empowering communities as both a leader and NED.

Having held various senior roles at Notting Hill Genesis, and positions at the National Housing Federation and L&Q, this will be the first Chief Executive role for Pippa.
She said: “I am passionate about what can be achieved by residents and effective local associations working together in their communities. I’ve always been hugely impressed by ISHA’s strong reputation for local delivery, partnership building and values-led action, and I’m thrilled to be its new Chief Executive. I look forward to leading ISHA’s dedicated and passionate team to build on this strong foundation to further deliver the safe homes, quality places and continuously improving services residents deserve.”

ISHA Chair, Mervyn Jones, said: “We’re delighted Pippa is joining ISHA as our new Chief Executive. She has extensive housing experience and a clear understanding of the sector, including the challenges and opportunities currently facing London-based community housing associations. Her values are very much aligned with ISHA’s, and we are excited to work with her to set a clear vision for the future.”

He also thanked outgoing Chief Executive, Ruth Davison, who moves to Newlon in May, saying: “Ruth’s dynamic leadership over the past five years has transformed and professionalised ISHA. Through her values-driven approach, she consistently seeks to raise the bar and challenge assumptions. We are extremely proud of the way she has championed building safety for social tenants and feel confident we will see her continue to raise her voice on behalf of residents, as Chair of the L12, and in her new role at Newlon.”

Pippa will take up the role of ISHA Chief Executive in October 2025.
