ISHA’s repairs service will soon be changing, and ISHA residents have the opportunity to help decide what happens next.
We know our repairs should be fast, reliable and high quality, and we know that it hasn’t always been that way in the past. Our current repairs contractor, Mears Property Services, otherwise known as ISHA Home Team, will be parting ways with us in the Autumn, giving us a great opportunity to create a repairs service which is truly responsive to the needs of residents.
Initially, residents can expect a transition period where contractors we already have a relationship with carry out ISHA repairs. During this transition period we will work hard to make sure there is no disruption to the service you receive.
Our experience with our new gas contractor FDH Services has shown us that employing local companies based in the community can have a fantastic effect on the services our residents receive, and we’re aiming to do the same thing with our repairs service.
Having reviewed the options, we think the best way to manage our repairs in future is through a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). This system would bring together a group of contractors to deliver our repairs services – local businesses with ties to the community they service.
