Estate inspections

Here are the outcomes to the last quarterly estate inspection for West Central Apartments (pdf, 532kb).

Our Neighbourhood Services Manager (Teslim Fagbayi) carries out quarterly estate inspections with Accuro Environmental Services Ltd who provides cleaning & gardening services across our estates.  Teslim welcomes you to join him during the quarterly inspection – it’s a great chance to have your say about how your estate is cared for and the things that matter to you most.  The next inspection will take place on Thursday 9^th February 2023 at 10am. Cyclical Decorations 

In most cases, ISHA or your managing agent will undertake a programme of Internal and External Cyclical Decorations and Repairs to your homes. This work is done on a regular basis, generally between 5 and 7 years.  The condition of the property will be assessed and works will be carried out where needed.  You will be consulted in advance about any works that are expected, such as painting or window repairs and gutter clearance/ repairs. Inappropriate waste

We have carried out repairs to the mechanical pump system at West Central Apartments. The pumps broke because inappropriate waste has been flushed through the toilets. Mechanical pumps are needed to aid the flow of sewage. Please do not flush items such as:

• Rags
• Nappies
• Cooking fat
• Baby wipes
• Sanitary products

These items will cause the mechanical pump to fail because they are not designed to deal with this type of waste. These items should be disposed of in the general housing waste (bins). The cost of unblocking the drains is charged to you.

Fire risk assessment

West Central Apartments 1-35 fire risk assessment (FRA)

The time frames for undertaking work are as follows:

• Priority 1 to be completed within 3 months
• Priority 2 to be completed within 6 months
• Priority 3 & 4 to be completed within 12 months
• Priority 5 & 6 to be completed within 24 months
