Questions about Supported Housing

What is Supported Housing?

Supported Housing is permanent or temporary accommodation designated for a particular client group e.g. older adults, people with learning or physical disabilities, people with mental health issues, those with alcohol or drug dependency problems, single homeless people or homeless families, young people leaving care services etc. Supported Housing schemes offer support services relevant to the needs of the residents living there.

What supported housing schemes does ISHA have?

ISHA has a number of supported housing schemes. Those that it manages directly include a sheltered scheme for the over 55’s in Islington and in Hackney there are two Supported Living Schemes for over 55's with care needs and a small block of independent living accommodation for the over 55’s. We also own two schemes for former rough sleepers in Islington, flats in Islington and Waltham Forest for adults with a learning disability and a block of flats in Hackney providing temporary accommodation for homeless families.
