Getting Involved
Get involved in what?
What other people say about getting involved...
"Thanks for funding this scheme, we have had nothing but hugely positive responses from all of the residents, and for all who got involved it has helped foster a lovely community."
- Resident of The Bakery, Hackney – Bid for Better
"I personally enjoyed the discussion during this meeting. It was a good opportunity to listen to different views and suggestions."
"Judging from the input/response from the residents, it shows this meeting is appreciated i.e. an opportunity for them to learn of a correct procedure to solve any problem."
"This is the first initial meeting that I have been to with ISHA for the type of property that I occupy. I have found this meeting very helpful and useful. It is a pity that more residents did not attend."
- Responses from residents’ meetings
There are many ways to get involved [3.4mb]. You can attend fun days, meetings, speak to staff, send emails, write letters, organise events, and much more.
But why get involved?
As you can see from what other residents have said it can be worth your while.
Involvement means you are:
- Letting ISHA know what you want
- Meeting and getting to share experiences with other residents
- Taking an active role in what happens on a local basis and within ISHA
- Giving you more say in the decisions that affect your home
Successful involvement should lead to improvements in the services you receive and help ISHA to make better decisions
