They can provide you with details of FREE independent advice services who can give you tips for avoiding arrears, how to avoid falling into debt and helpful advice if you do fall into debt.

In the meantime here are some handy tips for you:

• Contact us as soon as there is a problem.
• Respond immediately to any letters we send you. 
• Tell Housing Benefits or Universal Credit immediately of any changes in your circumstances.
• Provide any additional information that Housing Benefits or Universal Credit have asked you for on time.
• When you make an arrangement with us you must keep to it.
• Do not keep calling us to change an arrangement made.
• Change your standing order and rent payments to the correct amount when your rent changes.
