Your feedback from our Hackney Neighbourhood Night

At ISHA, we want to develop safe, secure, and flourishing homes and communities. We believe the insights, experiences, views, and opinions of our residents are vital to improving the quality of our homes and the services we provide. Our Hackney Neighbourhood Night was fantastic to meet so many of you who came to our Hackney Neighborhood Night on Thursday, 16 May. In total, we welcomed 33 residents to the event and had important and meaningful conversations with many of you. “It was a one-stop shop - everything in one place.” Resident feedback on the Neighbourhood Night “It was so nice to come out and meet other people from the neighbourhood. I really am keen to be involved and take part in as many opportunities to improve ISHA as I can. Community is how I grew up; it means a lot.” The evening was a great opportunity for residents to put a face to the name, meet the staff who work at ISHA, make connections, and enjoy a tasty hot meal together. It was also a chance for us to hear your views and get feedback on your experience accessing support and services from ISHA. “There was an opportunity to meet staff face-to-face. The location was convenient.” “The jerk chicken and sides were beautiful” “The hot food was delicious.” Residents could also get immediate feedback from ISHA and assurances that ISHA had heard their concerns and would work with them to find solutions to the issues they raised. “Everyone was so friendly and listened to what you had to say.” Co-creation and the role of the Resident Scrutiny Panel During the evening, Sophie, the new Resident and Community Involvement Lead, talked to residents about getting involved in co-creating projects with ISHA. Joy, an ISHA resident and member of the Scrutiny Panel, spoke about her experience as a valued member of the Panel and the work they were doing to improve services for all ISHA residents. “We raise the voice of residents and help improve the service.” – Joy, ISHA resident and Scrutiny Panel member More information We’ll be hosting another Neighbourhood Night soon and will publish details on our website and social media once we’ve confirmed the location and the date. If you have questions about Neighbourhood Nights, resident involvement or want to get more involved with your local community, email ResidentInvolvement@isha.co.uk or call Sophie on 07974 040 715.
