Had a package go missing?

It’s one of the busiest times of the year for parcel deliveries, and sadly some of them go missing. We’ve packaged some parcel top tips.

Missing delivery

If your item is missing, you should report this to the retailer initially. Check their website for details on how to report a missing item. They may be able to send a replacement or issue you a refund.

What happens if my parcel is stolen?

If you have proof the item was stolen, please report the crime to the police. If police require access to CCTV footage, they will contact us directly.

Ways to prevent parcel thefts

Make sure your delivery details are up to date and that you’ve provided a safe space items can be left if you’re not in.

Many delivery companies have a way for your items to be delivered to a local shop or locker for collection.

Here are some of the most common options:

With Royal Mail you can nominate a SafeSpace. Find out how.
EVRI often uses local shops as delivery locations. Find your nearest location here.
Amazon allows you to provide safe delivery instructions, or get packages delivered to nearby lockers.

Be wary of parcel delivery scams

Parcel delivery scams are very common, and last year almost half the country were targeted by parcel delivery scams.

Citizens Advice has some information on how these scams work and how you can protect yourself against them.

Remember to always step back, and double check someone details to confirm they’re genuine, whether they contact you by phone or email.
