Anti-social behaviour awareness week: Making communities safer

We're committed to tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) to improve the quality of life and create a safer environment for our residents.

This week, the national charity Resolve is shining a spotlight on the blight of ASB with its campaign #MakingCommunitiesSafer, which we fully support.

Anti-social behaviour can take many forms and often requires a multi-agency approach—people working together—to end it and stamp it out.

Unreasonable noise nuisance, intimidation or harassment, aggressive and threatening behaviour to another person, actual violence against another person, and hate crime that targets another person or group because of their perceived difference, such as race or religion, are all forms of ASB.

So too are the use of accommodation to carry out illegal activity such as selling drugs and prostitution, and environmental ASB such as deliberate damage and misuse of communal areas. You, our residents are our partners in stamping these behaviours out by reporting cases to us.
