Get support with your energy bills

If you need help with your energy bills or are struggling to afford essentials, we may be able to help. There are two schemes that you might be able to apply to. But you must apply quickly. Energy vouchers We can provide energy vouchers this winter thanks to a partnership with HACT, a charity supporting social housing. So far, we’ve helped six residents save almost £300 each. Eligibility ISHA residents with a prepayment meter, not with British Gas*, who are struggling with fuel costs and at risk of self-disconnection, are eligible to receive vouchers. *British Gas does not accept PayPoint vouchers. How the energy vouchers work Vouchers are emailed and can be used to top up a prepayment meter. They are redeemable through PayPoint only. You can receive a maximum of six £49 vouchers, but funds are limited, so act now to claim yours. How to apply Contact Outreachandsupport@isha.co.uk or call 0300 131 7300. You’ll need to provide some basic information to us, including: your full name the first line of your address postcode your phone number. You must also provide a photo of your prepayment meter showing low or no credit. We will also need proof that you: receive means-tested benefits or you are experiencing financial hardship or you are in rent arrears. We realise this is an additional element of evidence, but the fund provider requires us to provide this for every household. If your application is accepted, you should receive the vouchers within five working days. Shopping vouchers if you live in Hackney If you live in Hackney and meet the eligibility criteria, we can apply for £100 of shopping or top-up vouchers through the Household Support Scheme. To qualify, you must receive means-tested benefits and live in a household with children, pensioners, a disabled person or live with a vulnerable adult. If you think you qualify and would like to apply, email Outreach@isha.co.uk or call 0300 131 7300. Other ways we can help We’ve created our guide to help you keep your home safe and warm this winter (PDF). It includes support resources to help with energy costs, tips on dampness and mould, and more. Our Outreach team can also provide you with access to food vouchers if you need them.
