Hackney half marathon road closures
Hackney Half Marathon is returning on Sunday, 19 May 2024.The half marathon route, which remains very similar to 2023, will involve road closures. You may see signage on your street if you'll be affected. See the list of closed roads below. Event organiseres are working with local authorities, TfL and emergency services to minimise disruptions caused and deliver a safe and enjoyable event for the local community. More information All roads around the route will close at 06:30, ready for the Hackney Half to begin at 09:00. Roads will begin to re-open from 12:45, once runners have passed by, infrastructure has been removed and when it is safe and feasible to do so. All roads will have re-opened by 15:00. Advanced warning signs will be installed around the route two weeks prior to the event, indicating road closures. To help minimise the impact, Hackney Council has suspended the enforcement of LTNs in the borough for 24 hrs on Sunday 19 May. If you usually receive mobile support in your home for any reason (such as a carer or meal deliveries) please ensure your service provider is aware of the closures. Parking suspensions will be in place on the roads indicated in the attached document. Advanced notices will also indicate these areas one week prior.
