Neighbourhood Nights are an excellent opportunity for you to meet staff in person and discuss various topics related to your tenancy. At our recent Neighbourhood Night, we met you over curry at the Priory Court Community Centre in Waltham Forest, and there were lots of useful chats. We really appreciate meeting you face to face, getting to know you, and identifying the issues and areas of concern that we need to address. Staff from all teams are on hand, so you can get answers to the issues that matter to you most there and then. If we can't get an answer on the night, we will take it back to the office for action. Community involvement Frank Sweeney, a Waltham Forest resident and member of Leyton Mas Carnival, was there with volunteers and a stall making carnival masks and arts and crafts. "As a resident, the Neighbourhood Night is a great opportunity to meet people. I met many different Team Managers and had useful conversations. It has been great for networking, promoting Leyton Mas Carnival, and getting more local people involved.” Building safety at ISHA – meet the Team “The Neighbourhood Night was a success for the Building Safety Team in that we secured a resident in a mid-rise building who wants to be part of our future building safety forum! "It was a great way to discuss with residents how safe they feel where they live and what safety means to them. We learned from our discussions that residents want to understand the measures in place to keep them safe, and the anxiety of living in a block of flats is really poignant after the Grenfell tragedy - any and all reassuring information is appreciated and wanted. "The Fire Brigade being there was a great joined-up approach - from learning about common causes of fire and important messages on things like e-bikes to showing residents we work collaboratively to keep them safe. It was great to get to know our residents, and it helps us continually improve our service.” Upcoming Neighbourhood Nights Come along to one of our future Neighbourhood nights and chat with us!
