Are you thinking about relocating or moving home? Come along to our home-swapping event on Tuesday 24 October to learn more about the mutual exchange process, meet potential swappers and have a bite to eat!

The event is open to all social housing tenants who want to move home.

What is a mutual exchange?

A mutual exchange allows you to trade homes with any other social housing tenant, so you can find the home that best suits your needs. Maybe your family has grown and you need more room, or maybe you have to relocate for work. Mutual exchange allows you to swap homes with people anywhere in the UK.

Mutual exchange is a great option if and a swap can be completed in as little as six weeks.

You won’t need any documentation with you, but you’ll need to share the following information with us on the day:

Your current address, number of bedrooms and floor level.
What areas you’re looking to move to.
How many bedrooms you need.
Any specific requirements you have for a home, e.g., wheelchair accessible.
